Who Am I?

Jessica Shott Sleep Consultant

Hi, my name is Jessica!

I am a Montana native and had lived in sunny San Diego for the past 14 years. Just recently took a big leap of faith and moved back to my hometown of Missoula, Montana!

In my over a decade working with children, I have seen the negative effects of sleep deprivation and/or sleep issues have on a child's learning, academic, and social development. Knowing how important quality sleep is for the well-being of children is the primary reason I have decided to become an infant and child sleep consultant.

Beyond my direct experience with children, I constantly hear from my friends with kids their sleep struggles that I am sure you are going through as well. This may include, them not sleeping through the night, early wakings, waking up multiple times throughout the night, the inability for them to self-soothe, struggling with naps, nap transitions, and anything else concerning sleep. On top of this, you as parents are completely sleep-deprived as well! While having these conversations, my first thought is always -“I  want to hear more! Give me more details!” Granted, I love to sleep but I love talking about sleep even more. Crazy right?

I will always remember that time talking with a close friend about her son and his difficulties with sleep. She told me how she hired a sleep consultant and that it changed her life! While talking about the process with her consultant and how she helped her child reclaim his sleep, something just clicked. I knew this was something I wanted to pursue. Now I get to combine two of my passions, behavior intervention and sleep, to support families in creating healthy sleep habits for their children and help the whole family become well-rested.

And that’s how I decided to take this journey and become a certified sleep consultant! Are you ready?

Let’s go and get some sleep for the whole family!
